🔶 Orange Shirt Day: Our class will be hosting the virtual assembly for Orange Shirt Day tomorrow morning. Students, please wear an orange shirt to school tomorrow. 📙 LA/SS Today, we worked on our reading skills emphasizing the importance of rereading to find and locate information. We read about "sleep": the importance of sleep, dreams and helpful hints to improve sleep. We also reflected on Virtues and our own gifts of characters. We wrote about our own virtues, including our strengths and areas for growth. ❎ Math - Factors, factors, factors - We spent one more day completing the activity sheets related to factors. Students are encouraged to practice their basic multiplication facts at home. We will be reviewing more strategies later in the week. 🌳 Science - The Nutrient Cycle - We watched 2 videos and used the "test yourself" option. You can find these two videos in Classwork (Photosynthesis; The Carbon Cycle). Students added information to their visual journals about the Nutrient Cycle. (notes and illustration can be found in the Classwork in the same link as the videos) 🎵 Music - Students were given their music duotangs from last year to organize. Then they listened Beethoven 5th symphony for staccato, crescendo, and other forms of musical articulation.
